ASU's WP Carey School of Business says fewer foreclosures and underpriced homes have led to strong demand in the Valley. 

In fact, the average price of a home in the Valley is now about $120,000. That's up seven-thousand bucks from a year ago. This is especially good news for not only homeowners, but for people who depend on a thriving real estate market. 

Mike Orr, with the WP Carey School of Business, says this trend is definitely helping realtors to landscapers stay in business. Although things are looking up, Orr doesn't expect banks to loosen their lending restrictions anytime soon.

But imagine being able to Design, Specify and Purchase products at traditional trade discounts 24/7 and work with a staff of design professionals who know and appreciate the challenges of the design business.  That's the concept behind DesignTradeOnline.org.  And in the middle of October, 2011, we'll be launching the beta version of the showroom to a select group of interior designers to see if this concept is really a great idea.

What if only verified members of the design profession had access to pricing and to purchasing without having to compete with consumers who are also out there looking for the next best deal?

Well that is the concept and endeavor we are working on and in the fall, we'll be announcing our new endeavor to the design community.  It's pretty exciting to be working on this.  ]]>
