About five years ago, I had this idea to use computer technology and the Internet to make the work of the interior designer easier, more effective and profitable.  Figuring out how to do it wasn't easy since technology has changed so quickly and so dramatically over the last several years... particularly in light of the introduction of tablet computers.

But imagine being able to Design, Specify and Purchase products at traditional trade discounts 24/7 and work with a staff of design professionals who know and appreciate the challenges of the design business.  That's the concept behind DesignTradeOnline.org.  And in the middle of October, 2011, we'll be launching the beta version of the showroom to a select group of interior designers to see if this concept is really a great idea.
