After a number of requests to offer this class again, we got it on the schedule and Michael Thomas will be presenting the tools that you can use to design, create and publish your own website... even if you are a design professional.   It's really about using online resources that are cost effective ( less than $100 a year ) and using website platforms that are easy to use.   It's on Feb22nd and will be offered in the showroom at the Scottsdale Design District.   CLICK HERE for more details.

We've been working hard once we got the doors open to the virtual showroom DesignTradeOnline.org.  And it's exciting to see the results after so many months of hard work.  It's open to only those who are verified members of the design community providing products at the traditional discounts.

In just a couple of weeks, the Design Collective will open up the doors to our new virtual showroom.  Within the showroom, you'll discover a variety of products from art to accessories, from casegoods to seating and all of them available to the trade and only once you become a member.   We've already started loading up the showroom site in anticipation of our opening on October 18th.

About five years ago, I had this idea to use computer technology and the Internet to make the work of the interior designer easier, more effective and profitable.  Figuring out how to do it wasn't easy since technology has changed so quickly and so dramatically over the last several years... particularly in light of the introduction of tablet computers.

But imagine being able to Design, Specify and Purchase products at traditional trade discounts 24/7 and work with a staff of design professionals who know and appreciate the challenges of the design business.  That's the concept behind DesignTradeOnline.org.  And in the middle of October, 2011, we'll be launching the beta version of the showroom to a select group of interior designers to see if this concept is really a great idea.

Shopping from the comfort of your computer, iPad, or phone can mean more productivity.  So we are proud to announce that on October 15, 2011 we will be launching our new virtual design center to-the-trade.  Look for more details in the days to come. 

Imagine what it would be like to have one website where designers could search for product that they can't find, either because they are too far away from a legitimate design center or frankly, what the showrooms offer just don't meet the design criteria.

What if only verified members of the design profession had access to pricing and to purchasing without having to compete with consumers who are also out there looking for the next best deal?

Well that is the concept and endeavor we are working on and in the fall, we'll be announcing our new endeavor to the design community.  It's pretty exciting to be working on this.
